Frederick Garrasi, ECC Alumnus ‘10 had a dream of becoming a police officer and serving
his community. Fred was both a campus public safety officer at ECC and a part time
police officer for the Town of Evans. His friendly demeanor and professional attitude was
infectious. In February 2013 he was rewarded for his hard work and dedication with a full
time appointment to the Evans Police Department. In May 2013, he died suddenly. This
scholarship was established to recognize a pre-employment student in the ECC Law
Enforcement Academy.
