The Hank Pirowski Endowed Scholarship

Established by the New York Association of Drug Treatment Court Professionals in
memory of Hank Pirowski, one of the founding incorporators and an officer on its Board
of Directors. This Association promotes and advocates for all facets of drug courts. Hank
traveled the country advocating for drug courts, which earned him an induction to the
Stanley M. Goldstein Drug Court Hall of Fame, and many other awards. Hank was a loyal
New Yorker and U.S. Citizen, only leaving his home to serve as a corporal in the U.S.
Marine Corps, with a tour of duty in Vietnam, for which he received many commendations.
In 2008, Hank helped implement the first Veteran’s Treatment Court to Aid Military Men &
Women following their service to the U.S.
