Sylvia G. Simon-Ray Endowed Memorial Scholarship (for 4 year school after SUNY Erie)

This transfer scholarship was created in memory of Sylvia Simon-Ray. Professor Simon-Ray was
respected and admired by her students, colleagues, the administration and the staff of
SUNY Erie Community College. She was dedicated to her students instilling a sense of worth
and confidence and inspiring them to fulfill their dreams and encouraging them maintain
academic excellence.

ELIGIBILITY
1. Graduating and accepted into a four year college
2. Full-time student
3. North Campus student
4. Minimum GPA 3.5 in creative writing courses and/or be active in campus journalism or creative writing activities
5. Preference: Anticipated career in English instruction or creative writing
