Daniel B. Courier Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is created in memory of Daniel B. Courier, who passed away in 2016 while awaiting a kidney transplant. He grew up in South Buffalo and was already well-practiced in Culinary from
Emerson Vocational High School, then graduated from the ECC Culinary Arts Program, went on to work in many kitchen and restaurant settings, and eventually partnered in owning a franchise restaurant.
Danny’s table became the center of all family and holiday gatherings, as he shared his passion for food and taught his sisters and many nieces and nephews along the way. Be generous, be kind, enjoy life.

Qualifications:
1. Student in the Culinary Arts Program
2. Financial need considered
3. Preference for non-traditional students
4. Preference for students who are or have relatives who have been impacted by kidney disease
