Ken & Sue Duke Scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of Kerm Helmer, the founding coach of the Varsity Bowling
Program at SUNY Erie/ECC and the NJCAA. Under his leadership the team earned 37 NJCAA
National Titles and even more Regional Titles. His teams also captured intercollegiate
championships from some of the best 4 year and 2 year college bowling programs in the
country. This scholarship continues because of the generosity of Ken Duke, SUNY Erie Alumnus
’78, ‘86, and former Varsity Bowling Team member and coach and his wife, Susan Duke,
retired SUNY Erie Registrar at the City Campus.

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Incoming or Returning member of the SUNY Erie Bowling Team
2. Full-time student
3. Letter of recommendation required from High School or SUNY Erie Athletic Coach- request via email link
